Desbriefing Op Diablo Verde

Our mission was to defend a FOB near Gorka in Chernarus. In the first instance the defense device was divided into flanks. towards the WEST RSG with a BMP + Spetsnaz. RSG They should prevent the enemy from moving north. and make the EAST KND with a BMP + Infantry to prevent the enemy from going north along the coast. Towards the south of the FOB would be GHOST + RSG infantry. BE as a reserve in case the SOUTH had problems or they would move towards the EAST in case the enemy filtered through the EAST. Towards the NORTH you will find DT waiting for the enemy and as a reserve to launch a counterattack in case the enemy presses for the EAST or the WEST. And finally BMP BE on the hill ALTAR (only place that you could throw with precision towards the base using the vehicles LAV ej) and CTU stay on BASE and DEVASTOR only Scout near to BE BMP on ALTAR

When we started the mission, we had the first bad luck. The RSP BMP was damaged without being able to reach the point. possibly if the enemy would come from the WEST could pass our device without being seen. The image of the film FURY came to me and I order to defend the bmp until the last bullet.

 

After a while in the long wait of the enemy ... GHOST detects contact towards the SUR...

FASE III  ENEMY ADVANCED

 

 

the enemy advancing through the WEST could be on a large scale and then split NORTH and attack from ALTAR. The BMP of BE is ordered to retreat to the BASE.

When the enemy was positioned on the hill of ALTAR DT he had to make a counterattack from the NORTH. A few minutes later that intense fire started on the part of the LAVs towards the FOB, we knew that taking cover of the WEST wall its projectiles would be difficult to inpact us. Our BMP started to respond to the fire towards the hill, but then it stopped. I do not really know what happened, if I stop working because I do not hear an explosion (although if it had happened I would not have distinguished it since it looked like the new year of the 2000 explosions and detonations that we received at the base. DT is ordered to make a counterattack as fast as possible, I think that in that maneuver they found more enemies that came down from the NORTH and only some could survive (it would be nice some story of someone from DT about what happened in that movement) The code is triggered so that all units return to the base as soon as possible KND performs an envelope maneuver towards the south to decompress that sector. KND reports the destruction of an enemy LAV. RSG tries to enter the EAST to the FOB and collides with the enemy (I'd like a story out there from MARK) already the enemy's grenades were heard detonating inside the FOB and the shouts in RUSSIAN everywhere. Screams, blood, smoke, grenades, gls, screams in Spanish and desperation to hold the FOB until the last consequences happened inside the FOB. A recent CTU fighters devastor, GHOST Geokyt and MrMaster in a risky move I think they destroyed a Lav (in a video you see the destruction of a vehicle, but I could not confirm what it was a LAV)

 

 

In short, we had such bad luck that 2/3 BMP were left unused. This would not ensure victory but I suppose the story would have been different. So we fight with bayonets and stones until the end. I want to thank all the fighters who participated in the defense, Grifon for help and translation into Russian! I know there will be several heroic stories in this fight, without the spectator as a commander, I do not know what skills they performed but I will name some of the ones I saw in videos.

RSG BMP was ordered not to move the vehicle although it was unusable (only shoot) complied with the order of duty to fight the enemy despite the unfavorable situation they were.

GHOST They defended a very closed position and fought to the end destroying that enemy vehicle.

KND I think they had no action in the EAST but it was well covered that area, then when they made the counterattack maneuver to the south they destroyed a LAV, greta job

BE moved well with the BMP and suppressed the enemy as soon as they had the chance. (A shame that the vehicle was turned around, if that really happened) and the

BE infantry withstood the attacks at the base and knew how to defend until the end of the consequences

DT were waiting for the north of the enemy for a long time without seeing action, when they had the opportunity to attack the enemy in HIGH to the WEST ... unfortunately I grab an enemy column from the NORTH (I would like to hear some story about the fact )

CTU defended the base from the beginning and endured the bombings along with BE. in a moment after that rain of shots we received ... the enemy stopped firing for a few seconds and someone (a madman) grabbed a 50 cal and started to fire towards 2 lavs! It was crazy, but it was an act in a moment of despair since you could not do anything practically, we sent your helmet and boots to your mother in memory of this act of courage or madness!  

when nobody answered in radio at the base ... I heard the voices of some 5thPK soldiers, the smoke ran everywhere with little visibility. No escape, throwing grenades and blasts I did not think about giving up. I could scream: for the earth madr .............. pum

 

and finally congratulate the opposing group for a good game! I would like to see the story about what happened from the other side.

After BMP BE gave us an order to withdraw to the zone (we didnt have a long-range radio and received orders from the commander of the red side through ours at the BMP-2) we soon reached it and began to prepare for the defense, although they understood that there was practically no chance.The first thing we found out is the corpse of the staff medic (it was qualified Marty ) in the middle of the zone.

A little later the CTU fighters began to suppress the forest in the south-west of the zone, we supported them with our fire, but didnt get carried away, as they wanted to keep the ammo on the defensive.Our BMP-2 was to the east of the zone and was expecting our message that LAV-25 occupied the Altar (which would mean defeat for us) in order to try to rebuff them under the cover of the zone.As a result, when this happened, the BMP-2 attempted to dislodge at least 1-2 LAV-25 and fell under the crossfire. According to the report of the crew of BE BMP-2, BMP-2 tracked caterpillars and a little later RPG knocked out the bmp2 tower.The crew of BMP-2 survived, and dismounted entered into battle with the infantry of the enemy behind the zone.After the destruction of BMP-2, the LAV-25 began to shell the zone with high-explosive shells.The first thing that came under fire was stationary machine guns and fortifications with CTU fighters.The only thing we have left is a couple of grenades and two RPG 26.We found in advance the places where the fragments couldnt reach us and possibly fighting back.I have a video (which began with the bombardment of the zone) which I did at the request of the BE detachment.I will add it below.

 

It seems to me the main mistake of defense was the surrender of the Altar and the retention of KND with second BMP-2 in the rear until the last moment.But nevertheless, the mission was dynamic and we liked it, thanks @LEYDEN CTU for the command and qualitative debriefing!
